I was hoping that we could get a pic with him and after his one mile run he was walking with a couple of Husker football players and we asked him and he did!
The run was fun. It started by the 501 building at the university. Then last memorial stadium and then onto the trail that I run on during the week. Then out to state fair park and around the other side of Devaney. Then it headed back and down to the north bottoms area. It started to finish by going over the big walking bridge that comes to the stadium. That was a challenge. Going down that was nice though but then it was uphill to the finish line.
Husker players were all over the course giving high gives. Even Taylor Martinez! Then they were all at the finish lines giving them as they called your name out.
It was very fun and for a great cause!
I had my time as 30:20 but I'm pretty sure it was a little faster than that. Still waiting for the official results.
